The Mariposa Team are fundraising through the Red Cross on behalf of the people in Haiti. There remains a need for financial support as this nation rebuilds and we welcome your support! Time limited Tax-Relief!
If you are considering a charter date after July 1 2010- you can avoid paying an additional 8% (HST) on your charter fee by paying the charter fee in full by April 30 2010. Revenue Canada's transition tax plan stipulates that regardless of when the service is performed, GST applies to any amount that becomes due or is paid without having become due before May 1 2010. Regardless of when your event occurs after July 1, if the charter rate is paid in full prior to April 30 2010 you will pay only (5%) GST vs (13%) HST on the charter.

New Leisure Sales Manager Hired...
We are pleased to announce Susan Li has joined Mariposa Cruises as Leisure Sales Manager. Susan holds an MBA in Hotel & Tourism Management from Maastricht Hotel Management School in The Netherlands and has trained at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong.
Susan has experience working in international companies and has developed her sales skills to work with people from different cultures, backgrounds and expertise. She speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Dutch. At Mariposa Cruises, Susan will work closely with our valued customers and develop new relationships with operators. She will ensure that our leisure programs continue to enhance the Toronto experience. Responsible for Narrated Harbour Tours, Lunch & Dinner Cruise series, Susan will build packages with hotels, attractions and tourism products and will be active in the tourism market.
