Mariposa Cruises is the established leader in Toronto’s waterfront and we recognize the importance of being good corporate citizens. We are a group of people, passionate about what we are part of here and also passionate about our families, our friends and our community.  We are proud of our history of working with a great number of charity events and fundraising efforts.

Community Contributions:

Over the past 23 years, Mariposa Cruises’ support and prizing contributions have allowed many charities & associations to achieve their fundraising goals. Whether through prizing or silent auctions, we are proud to have supported these efforts in 2009. Please click here to discover a list.

Each year, Mariposa Cruises is proud to host many prominent charitable events. We are truly humbled by the experience of being part of something so much bigger. Hosting events is our business- to be incorporated into a fundraising effort is special indeed.

Fundraising events we have participated with:

‘Fundraise for Haiti’

The Mariposa Team are fundraising through the Red Cross on behalf of the people in Haiti. There remains a need for financial support as this nation rebuilds and we welcome your support! Please join with your personal pledge. During the month of March - for every deposit of $2500.00 or more received by Mariposa Cruises, we will donate $50.00 in your company's name. ‘Set Sail for Hope’

"Without Mariposa's support for Set Sail for Hope for more than a decade, transporting 200 corporate donors efficiently to Hanlan's Point for our annual event - which has raised around $2 million for Camp Trillium - would have been impossible. Before your involvement, the event was smaller, and we literally scrambled with a flotilla of small volunteer boats to get the guests to the site. I remember clearly the SSFH meeting we had when this problem was being discussed, and the idea was put forth to contact Mariposa, and ask for their help. Your group immediately picked up on our genuine need, and came to the table with a sincere desire to help.

‘Education Afloat’

“I have had the pleasure of working with Mariposa Cruises for 2 years now. The company has been a great asset to the Education Afloat programme. Mariposa has kindly offered their services and has hosted this programme as community service. Mariposa is helping to make a difference in the way our visiting students are educated. The staff is always smiling and willing to go beyond their job requirements to make the sailing experience comfortable for the students.

Fundraising Program Eligibility:
Mariposa Cruises use its own discretion and consideration when supporting only eligible organizations for its fundraising program. Charitable requests are only accepted from registered charitable organizations. Occasional donations will be offered to associations raising funds for charities. Donations are not presented to individual requests, religious, political or fraternal organizations.
