I was born and raised in the GTA and yet never seemed to find the time to really enjoy its beauty, so when I came across Mariposa Cruises’ Z103.5 boat cruise I was excited to attend an amazing party and to experience views of Toronto from the water! I quickly phoned a girlfriend who is always up for something new and fun to do and we eagerly awaited the night of the party. (more…)
On Wednesday July 30th we had the privilege of joining the AM740 Oldies Dinner Experience provided by Mariposa Cruises on the Northern Spirit, thanks to our granddaughter. Norm Edwards was a gracious host and had friendly interactions with most of the guests throughout the cruise. As soon as the guests arrived on board, he conducted a series of trivia questions and karaoke challenges.
An evening we will cherish in our hearts for a while was our 6th anniversary on the Oriole. It began with a warm greeting at the dock, which by the way is an entertaining district all on its own. Having arrived a bit early, afforded us the luxury of wandering the area and taking in the full atmosphere of the waterfront – which is kind of a happening scene! The ship itself was a charming sight. It reminded me of a classic steam boat, with its rustic, nostalgic appearance. I adore anything historical, so my eyes darted all over the vessel imagining each corners story or past. (more…)
It was honestly the best day of my life, marrying the woman I fell in love with so long ago. It went by so fast. I realize this will gain me some brownie points that I will hope to cash-in when I inevitably mess up….I’m a husband now, after all.
I speak with friends and associates all the time who are looking to book their wedding in a unique setting. It must be the age where everyone I know is getting married! I totally understand how important this is: setting up your special day; planning the perfect wedding; and ensuring the dream comes to fruition. (more…)
I was recently invited aboard Mariposa Cruises’ the Oriole to test out their new Toronto Harbour Tour app during a Scenic Harbour Tour. The free interactive app is the first of it’s kind in Toronto and provides an easy to follow narration as you tour all the wonderful sites the Toronto harbour has to offer.
I love this app for many reasons!
On July 5, 2014 the cloudless sky and hot summer sun made the perfect setting for a day on Toronto’s waterfront. It was 2 days before my mom’s birthday and I decided to take her on a brunch cruise around Lake Ontario.
After a long day at work, you can find me doing one of two things:
1. Snuggling up in my onesie watching The Bachelorette.
2. Catching up with girlfriends over a glass of wine.
With the official start of summer just around the corner, I figured it was time for a change and invited my best friend to Mariposa Cruises’ Sip and Sail Cocktail Cruise.
